چکیده

Development of state-of-the-art selective adsorbent materials for recovery rare earth elements (REEs) is essential their sustainable usage. In this study, a metal-organic framework (MOF), MIL-101(Cr), was synthesized and post-synthetically modified with optimised loading the organophosphorus compounds tributyl phosphate (TBP), bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen (D2EHPA, HDEHP) bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl) phosphinic acid (Cyanex®-272). The were characterized adsorption efficiency towards Nd3+, Gd3+ Er3+ from aqueous solutions investigated. MOF derivatives demonstrated an increase in capacity at optimal pH 5.5 order MIL-101-T50 (37.2 mg g?1) < MIL-101-C50 (48.9 MIL-101-H50 (57.5 g?1). exceptional selectivity against transition metal ions over 90%, up to 95% mixtures ions. better chemical stability than 3 adsorption?desorption cycles. mechanism described by formation coordinative complexes between functional groups modifiers

Recovery and Separation of Rare Earth Elements Using Salmon Milt

Recycling rare earth elements (REEs) used in advanced materials such as Nd magnets is important for the efficient use of REE resources when the supply of several REEs is limited. In this work, the feasibility of using salmon milt for REE recovery and separation was examined, along with the identification of the binding site of REEs in salmon milt. Results showed that (i) salmon milt has a suffi...

Recovery and separation of rare earth elements using columns loaded with DNA-filter hybrid.

Given that the supply of several rare earth elements (REEs) is sometimes limited, recycling REEs used in various advanced materials, such as Nd magnets, is important for realizing efficient use of REE resources. In the present work, the feasibility of using DNA for REE recovery and separation was examined, along with the identification of the binding site of REEs in DNA. In particular, a DNA-...

Programming MIL-101Cr for selective and enhanced CO2 adsorption at low pressure by postsynthetic amine functionalization.

MIL-101Cr fully or partially (p) postsynthetically modified with nitro (-NO2) or amino (-NH2) groups was shown to be a robust, water stable, selective and enhanced carbon dioxide (CO2) adsorption material with the amine-functionality. The highly microporous amine-modified frameworks (up to 1.6 cm(3) g(-1) total pore volume) exhibit excellent thermal stability (>300 °C) with BET surface areas up...

Rationally designed mineralization for selective recovery of the rare earth elements

The increasing demand for rare earth (RE) elements in advanced materials for permanent magnets, rechargeable batteries, catalysts and lamp phosphors necessitates environmentally friendly approaches for their recovery and separation. Here, we propose a mineralization concept for direct extraction of RE ions with Lamp (lanthanide ion mineralization peptide). In aqueous solution containing various...
